• Add requirements for lampholders for use with instant start ballasts

• Add requirements for button and coin batteries

• Add requirements for overcurrent protection

• Clarify and consolidate requirements for surface mounted units

• Remove requirements for internal wiring protection for cord and chain - suspended units

• Clarify requirements for cord length, markings, and installation instructions for portable cabinet lights

• Relocate requirements for conversion kits

• Eliminate requirements for work lights mounted on generators

• Revise requirements for ambient temperature measurement method

• Eliminate restrictions for 3-way lampholders

• Clarify requirements for tungsten halogen overlamping test method

• Add requirements for portable luminaires marked “Suitable for Damp Locations”

• Clarify stability test requirements for portable luminaires with articulated arms
